Original Art Releaese. This one’s for our fellow Terrapin Suite lovers…we call this art Turtle Skeletons In The Dezzy. Tying our love of rare & different textiles and fabric embroidery with our neverending love for Lady With A Fan and the entire Terrapin Suite, Rainwater & I found ourselves in a deep collaborative creative moment. Rainwater intensively studied the anatomical bone structure of turtles, putting together a true view of what skeleton Terrapin Turtles would actually look like. Then we needed the perfect environment for our skeleton turtles to play, so I jumped in bringing the Wovenfree perspective fueled by my love of patterns, textiles & mosaics. A pure reflection of our hearts & visions, we’re excited to share this piece with you! -Randy
As for the embroidery, this thing is an absolute beast. 9-inch diameter housing 350,000+ stitches. Details for miles. As always, locally stitched at our studio in California, one at a time, directly into the fabric.
